I would like to investigate the effect of certain compounds on Cadherin in blood vessels. Basically, I am doing experiments on porcine coronary arteries. I am willing to know whether my investigated compounds have any effect on vascular cell adhesion.

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to measure. If you want to look at cadherin expression you could run western blots on treated versus untreated extracts. You could also do immunofluorescence using a suitable antibody. The latter would tell you if cadherin is relocated as a result of your treatments. Good luck.

Appreciate your answer and thanks for your suggestion. I am really intended to do western blot and immunofluorescence. My problem was how to assess Cadherin expression in whole blood vessels rather than doing cell culture. However, now I am starting to design my experiments based on doing cell culture.
