On what basis does one decide to reduce the value of which URF in Fluent for eg when using k epsilon should i resude trubulence or the dissipation rate or another parameter or the value of the equation which is diverging in the residuals .
Also how does this affect my results

as we know the default values is quite good for wide range of problem but, if you increase the values the iteration will be unstable but quicker, if reduce the values the iteration be stable but takes longer. Anyway, in momentum URF can be reduce in step of 0.1 if diverging.

At First, check the quality of mesh. Carefuly analise mesh statistic (skewness, orhogonality, aspect ratio ). If all is OK, than you can change URF as I propose ...
