Hello dear researchers Is it possible for someone to help me in the field of separating the hypothalamus by sending a video? Because the theory and seeing the atlas could not help me much.
From my days of dissecting mice, I remember the hypothalamus being the least difficult region to isolate. Basically, you just turn the brain upside down so that you are facing the ventral surface. You will then see the whitish mass of the hindbrain and the ventral surface of the olfactory bulb and the cortex. Wedged between these brain parts, you see a round structure - the hypothalamus. You can easily scoop it out with small, curved forceps.
