I think that cancer cells undergo "evolutionary dynamics" after chemotherapy and radiation therapy as the selective pressure. Excessive amount of reactive oxygen species (ROS) corresponds to one of the environmental stresses which make cancer cells survive which can adapt the selective pressure. In addition, the chromosomal instability leads to the accumulation of passenger gene mutations, thereby forming the variety in the tumor tissue.

I am appreciated if you would give me comments on what kind of machinery is likely to responsible for the cancer dynamics.

Thank you in advance!
