Currently, I'm trying to recover fungal samples from 2020 to 2022 that were stored at 4°C on PDA slants. I have already tried to reculture them on PDA, but it didn't work. Does anyone know of any other methods that could help?

The fungus can be reactivated by adding PDA medium to the tube so that it covers part of the previous medium on which the fungus was growing.

Add yeast extract to the culture medium, it activate growth as it contains vitamins
