I would like to quantify the biofilm formation of fungi o my plastic films, which stain and whih wavelength should I use. For bacteria cryatal violet and ethanol is using, but for fungi I do not know. Can you help me please?
I recommend quantification by gravimetric methods.
i) weigh dried plastic film before test
ii) perform your tests for biofilm formation
iii) after test termination wash your plastic film with biofilm finely with distilled water, dry it to constant mass and weigh again. The difference of mass before and after test is your yield of fungi dry matter in biofilm on the plastic film.

Many thanks for your answer, however, I already started my experiment for almost 6 months. I need to determine the existence of biofilm via wavelength. The same procedure for bacteria with crystal violet ethanol at 570 nm wave length.
I am afraid why there is not stain and de-stain method for quantification of fungi bio-film
