Anexin-V based FACS is a very reliable assay to detect the apoptosis of cells induced due to any drug or any other reason. You can opt for the same. Just keep in mind to handle the cells gently during procedure as rash handling can result in false positive.

you can detect apoptosis at different levels (mitochondria, plasma membrane, DNA ...). It is then necessary to adapt the marking. The most used analysis is the Annexin V but you can also measure membrane integrity, the fall of mitochondrial potential or using specific antibodies (Apo2.7, anti caspase 3 ...).

The cell cycle analysis can also give you information.
