I try to isolate DNA from orchids tubers, the problem is they become kind of gelatinous because the polysaccharides.... so I want to get rid of them.
Thank you!
Dear Maria,
have you tried the CTAB extraction method?

kind regards, Harrie Verhoeven
Hi Maria,
as you mentioned Orchids has a high amount of polyphenols and polysaccharides. I agree with Harrie on using CTAB and also you can consider treatment with Rnase A and phenol-chloroform suggested by Honda and Hirai

in addition, a similar question with good answers is already on RG, Please see

Hope it will help

Thank you so much! I will try CTAB for strawberry leaves,
Kind regards,
Maria
I am on the lookout for the Enhanced Yellow Fluorescent Protein (Aequorea victoria) DNA sequence. Does anyone know where I can find it? Thank you in advance
