I need the steps for obtaining the sequence for tthe XRCC2 gene in human genome from NCBI.
Hello Noha!
1.) Go to http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/
2.) In the drop-down list select 'Gene'
3.) Enter XRCC2 into the field next to the drop-down list
4.) You will see a list of XRCC2 sequences, the first one is the human sequence
5.) Click on the name of the gene. You get detailed information on the gene. Scroll down until you see 'Go to nucleotide'. Click on 'FASTA'.
6.) You get the sequence of XRCC2 that you can copy and paste.
7.) Done!
With best regards
Hello Noha,

THANKS. I got it. now, what are the steps for designing primers for the SNP (rs3218408) in XRCC2 either foe RFLP or ARMS
i have designed a primer but i found it gives 200 hits over than the intended sequence (5 of them in the organism that i work with). this give poor pcr results. i want to avoid this but i don,t...
