My M.Tech dissertation is on "design improvement of radial flow submersible pump using cfx". I have done my CFX analysis but am not able to obtain efficiency from the result. Please let me know the procedure to calculate efficiency.
1- in the post-processor define a new coordinate system at the center of rotation.
2- Use "torque" function to find your torque around the axis of rotation (axis of the new system).
3- Note if you have different result files (based on time) you will have one value of each file.
4. Output Power = torque x angular velocity
5- Efficiency = Output Power / Input Power

I think Yasser meant:
Efficiency of the pump = (flowrate x pressure-raise)/(torque x angular velocity)
The procedure to calculate torque is quite clearly explained by Yasser.
