Do I need to report the searching history, inclusion, and exclusion criteria?
Do I need to have a protocol?

Yes Fisaha Haile Tesfay, in my understanding, you have to follow all steps of systematic review in the scoping review, except two things where you have liberty...
1. The research question may be broad as the purpose is usually to understand well the topic/ question.
2. Quality assessment of the selected is not required as you are not supposed to do statistical combinations or meta-analysis of the evidence in the scoping review.
Although the methods should be robust enough that some could be able to recreate the results and can get research questions for further research and systematic reviews.
I found the PRISMA protocol for reporting systematic reviews to be incredibly helpful. To my knowledge, it is the most widely accepted and utilised tool for this purpose.

Yes - Fisaha. The more 'rigour' detail the better in terms your specific search strategy - for both scoping reviews and systematic reviews. As well as frameworks, such as PRISMA, choose several databases and report the strategy for each. PRISMA only gives you the final 'hits' result. Also report inclusion/exclusion criteria, keywords and terms (including any used wild cards, truncation etc), Boolean operators, MeSH terms (if used) - and search limiters i.e. languages, year ranges etc. As well as clearly reporting your search strategy - you will also need to critically report your appraisal strategy - and detail summary tables etc.
