Hi.

I feel biphasic NNN meidum is the best for Leishmania culture. But, concerning liquid culture media, RPMI and Schnider's insect medium with 10-20% FCS are widely used for Leishmania culture including L. donovani. Grace's insect medium works, too.

- Schneider's Drosophila medium

- Bifasic Columbia Blood base Agar + 15% desfibrinated rabit blood + FBS 10%

3N medium is the best for isolation of all Leishmania in clinical specimens suing rabbit blood.
