You can simply write your keyword combination in Scopus and filter year of publications. Did you create an account in Scopus? It should work easily.

One way is to search for one of the authors which so simple to be done.

Hasna Elalaoui Elabdallaoui Please login to your account. You will come to a page with buttons including Dashboard Author search Sources. Then click on the Sources and another page having button such as Subject Area Enter Subject Area. You may put the subject area to trace out the required article. I have added pages as attachment for your kind information. Here in Enter subject area enter the subject area. Later on you may add key words one by one to reach the required article/s. However this search is not as friendly as is google.

At the end of the day, I strongly recommend you to find papers using Google Scholar. Google Scholar has a wider coverage and it covers grey papers as well. When I did a literature review I found a number of super interesting papers which were not covered by Scopus, but by Google Scholar.

You can set alert in Google Scholar and received new relevant papers during your PhD.

Danial Jahanshahi yeah, I was always using Google Scholar for my literature reviews. It is wider and comprehensive enough; but I had to make one more specifically concerning Scopus Database

Scopus is excellent if you need well-filtered results. For a grounded literature review, google scholar is the best. It covers all papers not indexed by Scopus.

And by the way you can also create an alert in Scopus for a specific search title, when new paper is published matching the search you will get an email notification.

Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Thanks for sharing your experience. Have you tried to search on mendeley.com and use Mendeley app which also belong to Elsevier? The mendeley search claims accessing to 100+ million cross-publisher articles and the Newsfeed keeps recommending new articles basing on what you read and downloaded. So I'm wondering if this new search function of Mendeley is like the old search on Scopus' homepage? And the Newsfeed button on Mendeley app is like the alert function as you described on Scopus?

I am still confused with the new version of scopus database.

1. I am not able to access the documents and filter options as well (Ex: Review, article, conference paper etc. (PFA)

2. All i am getting is only journal details and filters like Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4

3. Should i talk to my librarian for any subscription based scopus database access or is there is any option available which i am not aware of

Use the above link to search the select source option and type the journal name and check whether it is indexed means displayed the number of articles are indexed in per year basis and when indexing is started and also reveal the current status.

Dear Djamel Belatrache and Gandhi Vasanth Kumar, I am not able to use Scopus' documents database neither. Then I found out this Semantic Scholar portal (https://www.semanticscholar.org) that works even better than what I expected for Scopus' document search.

As for the Mendeley search I mentioned of above, I found it's not always working well, but its newsfeed on mobile App works great.

In any case the Google Scholar is better for search, because this database includes radically more publications.

It depends. If you only target the academic literatures, Semantic Scholar could be better in some ways comparing to Google Scholar. So far, it has indexed over 190 million paper from all fields of science, surpassing the size of Scopus (79 million). It is "designed to highlight the most important and influential papers, and to identify the connections between them". So there are functions by just one click to show the "connections", e.g., checking the full list of publications of certain author, checking the list that a certain paper is cited, sorting by relevance, recency, citation counts, most influential paper etc. Yesterday, I got more search resluts for some old documents in 1950s on SemanticScholar.org, but not by Google Scholar for the first time, with surprise!

Even in the link you sent, there is no way to search for documents. The only possibility you have is to find authors and sources (journals and books).

You can still search for articles using keywords, but not on "Scopus Preview", which is a free Scopus service. You need a "Scopus" subscription to have full access to the database and to be able to conduct keyword searches. To have full acess and conduct keyword searches you should login via your institution, organization or OpenAthens. By using our university's email account via our library webpage, now I'm able to have the full access to Scopus' database for its document search. In the mean time, I still use Semantic Scholar for many of its AI-powered functions for filtering or checking connections between literatures. I found this combination works very well!

I got the same problem. So, to solve that, I tried to get access to scopus through the institution that I'm enrolled. In other words, in my country there is a National scientific plataform the gather several Nacional and Internacional Scientific Journal. Through it, I got to acess Scopus, because I'm current graduate studant in a Nacional University that is filliated to this Nacional Plataform.

So, I believe that this same comum problem have been happened to many people and probably it will.

Thus, I hope to helped, despite the long time that this question had posted.

After following this thread for some time and having read all the replies above, I am sure so far it is the only solution to get full access to Scopus database, i.e., log in with our schools' email accounts on the premise that they're Scopus authorized customers.
