Try a different batch of FBS. If one batch works well, call the company to reserve that batch for future. Good labs practice this simple procedure. For you, try other cell line too with the same batch of FBS if other cell line grows slow too, than you may consider different batch. As said before first cycle after thawing cells are slightly slower, after that they pick up the speed.
