i'm using DAKO kit for HER2 fluorescent in situ hybridization FISH and i would like to ask if it is possible to stop the procedure after hydridization and continue later with the protocol ?

it's just due to some timing problems in the lab so sometimes i have to stop my experiment after hybridization
I think as long as the section does not dry out, you can leave the hybridization-solution over night and proceed next day with the protocol.
I don't know this special protocol, but I think hybridization-times are given minimum times. I would not recommend to do the washing step after the hybridization and then stop the procedure or let the slide in buffer for a prolonged time.
