am Just working on the process optimization of a small scale ball mill.
in fact ball mill performance depend on different variables, mainly the size distribution of the grinding media , the size and shape of lifters , the mill filling level , speed of the drum and the type of ground material, so am wondering how i can be able to make an objective function for me to optimize the performance
The objective of milling is to reduce the particle size and blending of particles to produce a fine grained blend and/or new phases. The kinetics of mechanical milling or alloying depends on the energy transferred to the powder from the balls during milling. The energy transfer is affected by many parameters such as the type of balls, the ball to powder weight ratio (BPR), milling speed, size of the balls, temperature of milling and the milling time
