I don’t know how the Global Warming Limits (GWLs) of 1.5, 2 or 3°C are established in the modeling studies that are published and referenced in recent IPCC reports. Are the global temperature thresholds of 1.5, 2, or 3 used as input to drive model simulations?. I mean the models are instructed to simulate GWLs of 1.5, 2 or 3 at the end of the century 2100?. What if the model under specified emissions would go for GWLs of 5°C or more?. Does the limit specified for GWLs makes sense scientifically?
