Issue with micrometer beam size while simulating moving heat source problem?

I am trying to replicate results published in the journal paper published recently (Article Modeling of Laser-assisted micro-milling Inconel718

). In that paper, they used vdflux subroutine to obtain maximum temperature. I used the same data and replicated the same process but I got the maximum temperature around 3000 degC. This problem I am facing when the laser beam diameter is less than 1mm.
