I think the same that's why I wrote this hypothetical paper so that I can convey this as I cannot work on it.

I don´t have the same impression. I think this HCV infection is only transmitted by blood products not by water. This is only the way of HAV and HEV.

The paper just discuss some possible ways of HCV transmission through water. It is an hypothetical paper. If you could please enlighten us why those ways cannot work so that I would be very helpful for my knowledge. Thank you!

My focus is HCV at this point because

1) HCV is more common that HBV and is the most common cause of viral hepatitis.

2) The cause of HCV transmission is not known in approx 40% of cases.

3) HCV has been studied to survive in water for up to three weeks.

I am sorry I cannot comment on HBV transmission through water at this time as I don't know if HBV can survive in water.
