Hi all, I’m working with MOMIPP (Cat. No.: HY-119624, MedChemExpress) and have encountered some solubility issues that I’d like advice on.

For my stock, I prepared a 1 mM solution (5 mg fully dissolved in DMSO), and it appeared completely clear without any precipitation. However, when I dilute the stock ~8-fold into pre-warmed PBS buffer (RT) to a final concentration of 120 μM, I consistently observe precipitation. The same issue occurs if I add the DMSO stock directly into cell culture medium—the compound rapidly precipitates out, and particulate matter can be seen.

I would like to ask:

  • Is precipitation under these dilution conditions normal for MOMIPP?
  • Are there recommended solvents, co-solvents, or formulation strategies (e.g., PEG, Tween, Cremophor, or serum-containing medium) that could help prevent precipitation
  • Any experience-based suggestions or references would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
