Has anyone used the PureLink genomic DNA kit to extract DNA from brain tissue?

I have been trying to use the PureLink genomic DNA kit to extract DNA from microdissected rat brain tissue but am getting quite low concentrations ~20ng/ul. Has anyone else used this kit using tissue and if so did you have to optimise the protocol in any way?

Hello, to extract DNA I normally don´t use a kit. I have a protocol that works fine to give me around 100ng/µl, but all depends on your starting material amount, how much material are you using? You mentioned microdissected tissue, so I think is very little. Am I wrong?
