I wanted to use the Biorad or any other multiscreen apparatus to screen for multiple antibodies in a western blot membrane. I have about 8 samples so I have a 10-well comb with 8 lanes.
I was looking at the Biorad multiscreen apparatus but I am not sure if it will align well with the 10-lanes to give two chambers per lane. Anyone has any experience with this? Please advise.

I have used Mini-Protean II Multiscreen system from Bio Rad. It has 20 track to assay different samples. The principal use of this device is for when you are running a PAGE with one antigen in single lane or in a single lane plus one well as MW reference. When you transfer this pattern to a NC membrane and put it on the Mini-Protean II Multiscreen system you have absolute security that all tracks are in contact with the antigen. Running antigen in individual wells and try to place the NC for create 2 chambers per lane may be very difficult. You can do your PAGE in individual well applying twice each antigen. After electrophoresis and transfer, stain the NC with Ponceau S and cut the lanes using a sharp scalpel. Each lane may be transferred to individual reservoirs and develop the rest of the assay. There are octo lines reservoirs that are very convenient for this purpose.
