Baf is used to study autophagy but cells are always exposed within the 2-4 hr range. Has anyone tried exposing cells to Baf at a longer time period or are there any literature that explains what happens in cells when exposed to Baf longer than 24hrs?

I know that Baf inhibits the acidification of lysosomes which prevents the fusion between lysosomes and autophagosomes and long exposure to Baf means that you are also blocking other pathways that are dependent on lysosomes. But why is Baf never used to study the effects of overall lysosomal inhibition?
