There is a research project regarding detection of H. pylori in gastric biopsy samples, so anyone has done it, can you please help?
After using a gastric biopsy sample for RUT-CLOtest, can the same sample be re-used for subsequent experiments? Like culture or PCR?
If not, where would the bacteria have gone? I guess some would stick to the gel but if there are enough H. pylori bacteria in sample to make the gel change color, the lost amount may not be much.

You can take several samples of gastric astral mucosa and divide some for culture and other for the urease test and also for histology
is not possibile to reused for another aim one biopsy for RUT (test).
Biopsies are used for culture, PCR or histopatology of gastric mucosa.
For the latest aim is need to take two biopsies from antrum, two biopsies from corpus and one biopsy from gastric fundus.
In teh clinical practivce is only use for fdiagnostic purposees to use the RUT not for other uses
