This is a quote by Dr. Clive James, Chair of ISAAA said in June 2012 at the USDA Crop Acreage Report. How far is this statement true in the light of the current rising anti-GM food campaigns, fears and suspicions particularly in developing countries such as India and Egypt.

The next generation of GM crops, e.g. nutritionally enhanced GM rice, is slowly nudging towards commercialization. Hence, I am confident that Dr Clive James is right and that global adoption of biotech crops is expected to continue to grow in the future, particularly in developing countries.
