Dear all,

Im simulating Friction stir welding using Abaqus with CEL technique.

It include 2 stages - 1) Friction stir weldingstage, 2)Cooling stage (temprature releasing)

In 1st stage i'm using Explicit Dynamic, temp-dis step (As im using CEL so restricted to use explicit)

In 2nd stage i'm restricted to use again explicit step, which is time taking & computationally not efficient. And as we know cooling step nothing to do with explicit, but restricted by software to use other steps.

Is there any way to reduce computational time for cooling step ?

I also thought for mass scalling but with CEL that not work.

Help will be really appreciable.
