Ethanol determination using potassium dichromate?

Do i know someone who used this method: Crowell, E.A. and Ough, C.S. (1979) A Modified Procedure for Alcohol Determination by Dichromate Oxidation. American Journal of Enology and Viticulture, 30, 61-63.

Is it mandatory to distill standard ethanol as well to create standard curve.

If the concentration of your stock solution is known I think You can make standards from that without distillation.
