Its been some time since i worked with enzymes. So as i now had a look at Enzymes by several vendors i wondered about the units the activity was given in and their meaning.

e.g browsing Novozymes products you find activity in units such as

LU/g

IUN/g

PLU/g

KLU/g

ECU/g

AU-A/g

KNPU-E/g

LAM/g

KNPU-S/g

Just looking at their enzymes for yeast extracts (https://biosolutions.novozymes.com/en/animal-protein/other-protein-sources) you can find

AU-A/g

LAPU/g

Prot/g

CPDU(A)/g

EGLU-A/g

Some companies use the good old U/g - but in all those cases i couldnt find any information how to determine the amount of enzyme that might be needed.

Do you know what those units mean, how they are measured etc?
