Mehedi - I am an established mentor of the Publons Academy. There are obvious advanyages to enrolling on the course and gaining experience under a mentor. It will not 'automatically' result in journals approaching a succesful candidate - but it would be a valuable addition to a CV if that person is applying to journals to be a reviewer.
No. It may not help. For getting the invitation to be a reviewer, you have to contribute some good research in your domain. Then it will come sometimes.
To be a reviewer depends on the invitation of editors and not related to the publishing your article in science media such as publons or researchgate and so on.
it is better to enhance your research in your field of study for give an invitation
and it is better to be corresponding authors in your manuscript.

Mahdi Alibeigi I know that publishing in Publons or Researchgate does not help you to get invitations as a reviewer. My question was specifically regarding a course offered by Publons (Web of Science) to learn how to do a review of a scientific research paper. However, thank you for your answer.
I think this will help a lot to anyone....because by going through this course u get acquainted how to review a paper..i mean you become technically sound....it again helps in writing skill development...as i think learning never ends...
Apart from that this will help you in promotions..because in API score card...there is one heading..peer review..and in that there is a clause...where you can gain marks ...and you can improve your CV also
Mehedi Hasan it depends on what you are intending to do. To be a reviewer for high ranking journals this certificate may not be helpful, high h-index and publishing reputation this is what you need in this case.
The course will not help you get invitations, but it will definitely teach you a lot about how to perform a good quality peer review. If you learn this thing and do a couple of good reviews which will show up on your profile then this might help you get more invitations for the peer review.
Mehedi Hasan It helps to some extent, but usually it depends on your scientific reputation (number of researches, h-index , etc.) this is what can make editors invite you for reviewing articles.
Its a first step towards being a good reviewer... it is helpful to improve your reviewing skills. You eill add your quality reviews in Publon and eventually get articles from good journals
The certification will help you learn the basics of the peer review process in a formal and structured manner. This can help in your professional growth in the long run and is recommended. However, it will not get you more reviews. For this you have to publish more articles and then register on the websites of the respective journals for your interest in peer-reviewing for the journal
