I am planning to buy workstation with a budget of 7000 USD. What should be the right choice for which computation time should be reduced. As i had read from ansys forum and other that increasing the cores(processors) will not benefit for default ansys license...for this additional license must be required rather than this if i am planning to purchase processor with small core count..the frequency (clock) of each core(processor) is restricted by chip manufacturer.
What is the role of GPU ?
whether it will benifit to purchase the XEON processors with limited number of cores with GPU?
what should be the min. max amount of RAM ?
whether it should be ECC or normal memory?
Our institution didn't provide any HPC license ..so i have to manage with ANSYS default license only.
