DNA is not information. DNA is a molecule that builds proteins that can generate a organism when expressed. We can certainly view DNA as information, as part of an analysis, and to help us talk about it, but saying, “DNA is information,” is boiling a complex aspect of reality down to overly-simplistic, ambiguous, and vague terms.
