Unfortunately I have never electroporated GFP intratumorally (in vivo). When I needed GFP+ tumors, I used already GFP+ B16 cells. Maybe you can also try to use GFP+ cells; in alternative, check the papers that perform intratumoral electroporation.

My intention is actually verify the % of GFP positive tumor cells in vivo post electrotransfection...maybe it will be not so easy to verify, so.

may I ask why GFP?

did you considered luciferase or Mcherry they work better in vivo.
