Yes, i can confirm, but it depends on which behaviors are you studing. For example i had to analyze videorecordings of play behavior (gorilla and chimpanzees) and the play pattern were too much, so i couldn't use Boris for this analysys. I used Kinovea, which is a free program used for different sports in order to analyze the agonistic competitions. whith this program you can see the videos frame by frame, zoom into the image, see the time to the hundredth of a second, and other functions. It's really useful but it's not a software made to measure behaviors like Boris. You need to create an excel spreadsheet and insert manually the behaviors that you observe.
