Or is there another dye that can be used without interfering with the PCR reaction?
I would like to be able to make my own X5 PCR buffer and load it straight to the gel after the PCR without adding more loading dye.

Every website, including the manufacturer's, simply states that there is a yellow and blue dye with absorption spectrum between 225-300nm, and with excitation peaks at 488nm and 600-700nm.

Yeah, that's all I could find as well. It looks like its a closely guarded secret for the time being. Someone out there must know.....? :)
This question was asked quite a while ago but I'll add my answer for posterity; GoTaq (and Phire's) green reaction buffers almost certainly contain a mix of xylene cyanol and orange G. https://openwetware.org/wiki/File:Agarose_gel_dyes.jpg this image shows migration rates for different loading dyes, and it's consistent with what I've seen when using these PCR buffers.
