I will need to perform in vitro assays with vitamin D and I don' t find one that can be used in cell culture. Also, does anyone know how to solubilize it in RPMI 1640 or DEMEN? Thank you so much.
Regarding solubility issue I think it is possible to use DMSO or alcohol. But be careful about the concentration of DMSO in cell culture. You can prepare stock solution of vit D in DMSO then use that in cell culture. But prepare high conc stock solution so that you don´t need to use much DMSO in cell culture.

In our in vitro experiments in HUVEC and VSMC we used calcitriol (1α,25(OH)D3), the active form of vitamin D3 (Akorn, Inc., Lake Forest, IL, USA) .All details can be found in our published manuscripts.
