I am conducting a molecular diagnostic technique for S. haematobium and I would like to know how much DNA is in an egg and in which paper I can find this information.
One way for you to discover it in my opinion, is extract it with a DNA extraction kit and quantify with a technique that you prefer. An example is NanoDrop, but you have others to choose. I hope that i can be helpful.
I will add to Hugo answer that DNA quantity in parasites (or not) eggs varies during time and development of eggs. You will have big differences between first stages and eggs containing a blastula or a morula.
