This question asked upon request by other MS student.
She is doing some in vitro propagation from explants (shoot tip and nodal propagation) of stevia on plastic jar using the full strength MS medium. But she got some fungal contamination despite washing her plants in teepol and NaOCl, HgCl2 and 70% ethanol. She also used a few drops of tween 20 with NaOCl. Though there have lots of paper on stevia but the surface-sterilization was not clearly described. She also used the protocol of published article but still have got contaminations.
Does anyone have a good protocol to get rid of this fungal contamination?
