My laboratory is trying to develop a qPCR assay to detect rodent fur mites Radfordia affinis and Radfordia ensifera. However, there are no published nucleotide sequences in NCBI for either species, nor publications with primer/probe sequences in Pubmed.

Dr. Ewalds-Kvist, thank you for the links. I was unaware of these publication databases. I performed a small review of the first few results, but they don't address my question. I'll continue to search through these.
Dr. Crim, I appreciate you bringing this service to my attention. However, I'm not looking to have samples diagnosed, but to develop an in-house test for them. Still, I did go ahead and contact IDEXX to see if they could provide any guidance on this project.

Thank you for the response. No, I had not seen this article before. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
My goal is to develop TaqMan-based qPCR assays for multiple mites, including M. musculi, M. musculinus, and R. affinis. I can definitely use some of this information.
I'm in the process of trying to find R. ensifera specimens in order to sequence their rRNA. If I am able to achieve this process, I will be happy to share this information.
