Dear fellow scholars,

We have access to a mouse line in which a specific neuron group is producing "click chemistry" ready proteins (proteins with alkyne group). I want to in a whole brain preparation to add e.g. Alexa 488 azide and through click chemistry label the neurons fluorescently. Later clearing and imaging. The reason I want to try this method is that I fear that native eGFP signal from this group is not strong enough to visualize all axons in these projection neurons, and hope that the click chemistry reaction creates super bright axons. Anyone has experience or advice with this, I would love to discuss protocols etc.

Best,

Anders
