I think that Sugammadex is a novel and revolutionary neuromuscular block reversal agent. But in Korea, it is not allowed for children aged less than 18 years. I guess the drug may be so effective and safe in children. I need it for short surgeries in children including P-E tubing, T&A and frenectomy. I hope that you will tell me your opinion and experience about its effectiveness, dosage, range of age and adverse events etc. in children.
To Dr. Byung Gun Lim, I am surprised to konw that you cannot use sugammadex in Korea. We use sugammadex to reverse pediatric neuromuscular blockade without limitation under monitoring as adults, 2mg/kg when TOF1,2 and 4mg/kg when PTC1,2. The reversal is usually within 2 minutes. We have not experienced any side effects in neonate and infants in my hospital.

I am looking forward to perform the study associated with sugammadex in pediatric patients and I wish to provide safe and comfortable anesthesia for children with sugammadex. We are also using Sugammadex in infants and at the results are similar with the adults, even better. Maybe you can present your results in the ASPA Meeting which will be held in Malaysia this June.., then we will have the opportunity of discussing.
