There are multiple ways of ribotyping; conventional, capillary electrophoresis. Each require different setup and are well described in literature. As with any typing method, if you want to do this in house, it is best to have a reference collection (e.g. Leeds-Leiden collection) that you can use for comparison. Alternatively, you can try to use a webbased system such as Webribo.

PCR ribotyping based on capillary electrophoresis has a great resolution capacity, you can use the WEBRIBO database (is freely available) as suggested Dr. Smits or/and you can share the profiles with other reference labs (e.g. Leiden).
