I have to analyse the DNA bands on agarose gels by using Scion image software. How can I interpret the data of scion image software so that it can be published.can we apply stats on scion image Software produced data? If yes then how?
I have already used scion to quantify protein gels, I mean zymography gels, but anyway....
What I know is that Scion quatifies the area of the bands. So, I think that you will compare the size of the area for each band, individually. But, I don´t know how this will be useful for you as you´re dealing with DNA bands....
For me it worked because I was looking the area that my proteases were cleaving, so the bigger the band was, the more activity my protease had. But for you, I don´t know what it would be/mean?
What, exactly, does your DNA bands mean? (I´m sorry for my stupid question, but I´m not used to work with DNA gels )
