Being healthy is really important and I do believe staying physically fit can impact your research in a positive way due to the direct correlation of our mental physical wellness.
I have not read a research on the achievements of scientists and regular sports - fitness, swimming, mountain tourism, etc. Judging by my colleagues, I can say that sportsmen look younger. They also have good results. I can not compare to those who do not sport because I do not see them in the hall. It helps me personally, because I rest in the hall and I "arrange" my thoughts.
Yes, there is a big and positive relationship between being healthy and your research achievements. The more healthy your body is, the more well organized you will be.
Yes, fitness has an impact on the speed of research and its management, but this does not prevent many researchers suffering from many chronic diseases, yet they had a great role in providing scientific and literary research
Yes, physical fitness has an impact on research capabilities. This means that our body should cooperate with us and should have a capability to sustain physical strain while going for field works, getting some research data etc. Our body should also immediately act accordingly. Physical fitness and strength has an impact on mind also. Mind should be be peaceful, take less strain and allow low pressure so that mind also develop fitness . This altogether creates and encourages us to concentrate on work and increase the capability of doing research.
Available evidence suggests that mathematics and reading are the academic topics that are most influenced by physical activity. These topics depend on efficient and effective executive function, which has been linked to physical activity and physical fitness.
As far as my perception goes, physical fitness cannot be correlated with research work. If you are consistent daily in your research work, anything is possible.
Yes, of course. To be physically fit, mentally alert, emotionally responsive and intellectually perfect (or near perfect, in true sense).....are the essentials in any kind of research success.
All these components individually or in combination always brings satisfaction on the part of researcher(s). An exciting observation, interpretation, findings, publications or patents are only following these important preconditions of a research.
Yes, being physically fit can enhance a person's ability positively in many ways including mental health, productivity in work, creativity, having a positive attitude, etc. Physical fitness brings about mental alacrity, sharpness in thinking, increased concentration, and rationality - all of which are helpful while doing research
Yes, fitness and health are very helpful in creating motivation to conduct research and improve quality as well as increase optimism among researchers . If the other good specifications are available in the researcher
Yes, physical health can improve your stamina and your ability to focus. But there are many more factors involved. Please do not conclude that pour fitness of the investigator leads to bad research.
Physical fitness has a positive significant impact on your basic and higher cognitive skills that are necessary and affect your research capabilities. Attention, concentration, memory, problem-solving, decsion making, planning are all examples. Physical exercise affect the brain and promote cognitive functioning and a condition of wellbeing.
Definitely, physical and mental fitness go hand in hand, no medical doubt, e.g. a active and regular combination of working at the desk and walking in fresh air and nature. However, the psycho-logical element of feeeling the signals from within our body is equally important for our integral health; I see the following bio-feedback-circuit: feeling--knowing--doing.
Physical fitness helps to support and encourage research capability. This helps to be in a good position to do experiments and concentrate on logical reasoning which is quite necessary for a person.
Depending upon the title, the physical fitness is important. One scholar done to develop and validate an Instructional Package, but the scholar is logo-motor disability. The scholar is less physical fitness, but she ( that scholar) can had good communication skill leads good mental health and interest in Research. Her parents are faculties in University and her brothers are in the same field. Now climatic condition of her family leads her mental abilities in good health.
Yes absolutely! After sitting for long hours in my lab I have many problems like back ache and neck ache. I think each PhD student should indulge in some kind of physical activities daily to overcome these constraints. When body will be fit then the best outcome will be emerged.
Research capabilities are not inherent in everyone. Of course, if in academics, they are necessary. Even though you have these capabilities and you are not physically fit, you will not be able to use these capabilities to the maximum. Physical and mental well being is of prime importance in all such activities.
Certainly. Yes. Physical fitness has a positive significant impact on your basic and higher cognitive skills that are necessary and affect your research capabilities.
Atun Roychoudhury , well this is solely upto my knowledge of understanding, with no intention to hurt anyone believe,
I believe that while we are doing the physical activity, so we are doing "endeavor/try",
1. While physical activity we can also think about those questions which are otherwise bother us or difficult to concentrate,
2.While we endeavor we are simultaneously motivating ourself on our own,
3.With physical activity we enhance our physical limits which we had defined and now with consistent try we can defy the limits once again and this how we start growing, without harming anyone.
4.While defining and defying the limits we are growing and now its upto us to grow in our research or spiritually or physically or mentally or psychologically,
5.That's means if we converge our energy of endeavor to a particular field or are as defined in point 4., we can excel.
I can write whole paper on it, but I believe this will open you for the next challenge.
