What kind of way do you follow to immerse the same amount of heads as pencil graphite electrodes into the cell every time for the cyclic voltammetry in sensor studies? May you suggest any methods for overcoming this difficulty please?
In the Pencil Graphite electrode (PGE), You can mark a fixed length that may be 1cm or 2cm by measuring the exact length. The remaining portion of PGE can be covered with non conducting tape (don't cover fully from the marked position). You should left some portion of PGE uncover so that the connection should be maintain.
In order to get reproducibility of the results, you must maintain the same length of PGE.

Isolate the lateral part of the lead with an appropriate cover/insoluble paint/paraffin.
Use the transversal (cross-cut) section as exposed area (it can be repeatedly polished, while maintaining the same geometrical area).
