Does MIN6 cells respond to glucose stimulation during early passages (below 30). I have seen most studies using cells between p40-50. I have seen that high passages reduce the response to glucose stimulation.

Hi Maya,
yes, I performed insulin secretion tests in cells with passages below 30 and they did secrete more insulin in high glucose medium (16,7 mM) than in low glucose medium (2,8 mM). In my case there was a 2-fold increase in insulin secretion.

Hi Joan, Thanks for your reply. I am also getting similar fold increase, but I have seen papers where they get a much higher insulin secretion.
