Yes MCF7 cells adapting to McCoy’s 5A medium with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS), pyruvate, vitamins, amino acids, and antibiotics at 37 °C in a humidified incubator with 5% CO2 .

OR
Use DMEM supplemented with 10 % FBS and Antibiotics (100 U/mL penicillin and 100 U/mL streptomycin), the cells grow very well .

Hi Carlo,
MCF7's original media is MEM + 10% FBS + 0.01mg/ml insulin. McCoy's 5a is a much richer media, the cells will grow fine! They do better with the insulin, but know people that do not use it. We add ITS solution to 1X.
