Hi,
Anyone has used the Qiagen DNA extraction kit (with the column filter) to extract DNA from human brain tissues?
I am planning to extract DNA using the same kit and previously I have been using the same kit to extract DNA from human blood.
My only concern is that brain tissue might contain high fat content and how to overcome this to ensure good DNA quantity and quality?

Yes, but it's hard. Basically it works fine, but brain is quite fatty and the cells are big (less DNA compared to mass), so it's challenging to get a good yield.
You can gently wash once more with the last buffer. And you can elute the DNA once or more again with water (use the same water-DNA mix from the first elution).
