Naveen posted this very interesting question about intense competition, asking whether it´s good or bad for science:

https://www.researchgate.net/post/Is_intense_competition_among_scientist_a_boon_or_a_curse_to_science?cp=re65_x_p2&ch=reg&loginT=Gw7GaUcf-vE7lG5FV4ZFS6ss8gSmchWu&pli=1

I concur, with most of the answers, which were that intense competition is a curse (not a boon - I am not native to English and sometimes I misunderstand some words), I for science. However, with this discussion - in order not to take the original one off topic - I would like to explore ways how to improve the current research system. I encourage bold ideas, scenarios of utopia and completely realistic ones as well, of course :-)
