Hello everyone,

I wanted to test if saponin (from Quillaja) has the same reversible permeabilizing effect on yeast cells as it has on mammalian cells. I tried saponin concentrations between 0.1 and 1% and incubated the cells for up to 1h at 4°C or 20°C, but couldn't detect any permeabilization via PI staining. Has anybody done something like this?
