I liked the comments of ms. Muhammad Irfan; and Dr. Prasher. Both these are commandabe. Life is so far a mystery, though its search had been from the beginning of the civilization. It has unlimited dimensions, from the point of view of structure,form the point of view of maths, physics and chemistry; from the point of view of philosophy. Besides there are other factors through which the life has been defined.But the more you read the more inquisitive you become. I quote a few lines of Adi Guru Shankara Charyaji that is do long there is PRAN in the bodyand you are able to earn all relations are onlu up to then.

The birth, the growth the infant, the boy, the youth, the old and the death are the universal cycle of life. This part is materialistic view. there comes a time, as depicted in the scriptures, when the some of the friends of Krishna said about Krishna," You are the son of Nand Baba. Krishna replied that [kab janmat hum ko tum dekhyo, hansi lagat sun bain tumhare, Tum janat mohe Nand ko Chhele Nand kahan tey ayo; Hum puran avigat avinashi maya subni bhulani. It means that on the retort of friends to Krishna that he was merely the son of Nand and Krishna replied that when did they saw his birth, You only know me as the son of Nand but from where Nand came? About himself Krishna said that "I am perfect, eternal, away from death and birth and that it is only the MAYA (illusion) that make you think like that. To define life is not an easy task as life is a mystery there are infinite dimensions that keep life smeared and it seems impossible to unfold those dimensions. Ud sharma.
